Gator Tales: The Alabama Clan’s Big Adventure on Lake Toho 🐊
This week, we were thrilled to welcome a lively crew of 15+, all smiling kids—proudly calling themselves the Alabama Clan—for an unforgettable airboat tour at Lake Tohopekaliga. Their laughter and energy lit up the wetlands from the moment they arrived.
A Whole Family, Wild and Together
From grandparents to the youngest cousins, the Clan brought three generations along for the ride. Their excitement was contagious—boats taking off in unison, laughter echoing across the lake, and an unspoken thrill in the air.
Our captain expertly split the group into multiple boats so every kid got a window seat and a front-row view. As the boats cruised through winding marshes, the Clan shared spotting gators, snapping turtles, and soaring birds—everywhere they looked, there was another wonder to discover.

The highlight came when a playful family of otters paddled alongside one of the boats and a huge alligator lounged nearby. With every sighting, guides shared fun facts about Florida’s ecosystem—turning curiosity into learning moments. The kids peppered our guides with questions: “How big do gators grow?” “Can otters swim fast?” The smiles grew wider with every answer.
